Newcastle Label Fun

Well this weekend I got a 12pk of Newcastle from the store and discovered when I opened the box, that they had included a little set of 6 blank labels for you to design your own beer labels from. Not sure if there's some sort of contest going on, but needless to say I can't draw anything well. So I did what anyone who sucks at art would do..... I gave them to Beth and told her to make me some cool labels. She agreed and these are the results!

I may add some of the individual bottle shots at another time, but for now this will have to suffice.

First upload to YouTube

Well, here it is. My first submission to the world of YouTube. Ironic that my first video isn't even a video..... just a song I made sampling Obama's 2008 acceptance speech in Chicago. I'm mostly putting it up because it makes sharing it with friends and classmates a bit easier. So I hope you enjoy, and without further ado...Yes we can!

Here's the link for the YouTube video as well. The sound quality on Blogger isn't quite as good. Yes we can - Obama Jam

Website in the works

As I mentioned in a previous post, I've been doing a lot of schoolwork lately. In my HTML class we have a project due soon to create a website. I started it the other day, and it's going pretty well so far. I decided to create the website as a gaming site/review blog. I put a bunch of links to other sources for buying games, strategy guides, etc. I plan to put in some embedded youtube videos, and some other reviews/sources as well. So far its been pretty neat, if not a bit frustrating. But I'm managing it so far. I may even try to find an inexpensive host for the site, so that I can see what kind of traffic you can get from a blog/site. I'll put some updates up in a week or two after I submit the project.

My current fix

Well, in between my school work (which takes up a far amount of my time currently) and my other activities; I've been playing Mass Effect. I was originally going to start out with the new game, Mass Effect 2. But a friend warned me off that, and insisted that I had to play the first one first. My review so far is that the dialogue is some of the best I've seen. The game looks pretty good too. Not bad for a game that's close to 3 years old now. The combat is fun and interesting, and even the side missions are compelling. So far I'm having a great time playing this game, and I can't wait to start Mass Effect 2.

First post, mostly a test

Well, here we are in Ohio. Another beautiful weekend of snow headed our way. Supposed to be about 3-6 inches depending on what magnificent area of our great state you find yourself in. Here's a picture of snow to illustrate my point to family and friends blessed with warm weather all-year-round. Have fun at the beach......jerks.
